Pictures – Better late than never.

Posted in 1 on July 8, 2009 by alcrevelation

Sorry for the delay in updating.  In may we took a great ride to the south side of St Helen’s and home through the Gorge.  The following pictures are from that ride.  Our June Ride took us “around the block”.  We simply went around Mt. Hood, which included our first female driver!  Hopefully we can continue that as a trend.  We are looking forward to our July ride which is currently scheduled for Saturday July 15th.  More details to come.  Thanks to all of you who have gone with and made it a truely wonderful time.  God Bless.

May 30th Ride

Posted in 1 on May 29, 2009 by alcrevelation
Hello All

I just wanted to give you all an update on the Ride on Saturday.  Below is a link to the route that we will be following.  I pre-rode it this week and it will be 175 miles and will likely take us closer to 5.5 hours.  That accounts for time for lunch and gas stops.  The roads are in great condition, but I did ride past a little snow.  Weather also looks phenominal!

Thanks to all of you that have already replied… remember please reply ahead of time so that we can plan accordingly.  Even an email late Friday is just fine.

Have a great Friday and see you on Saturday!

Hopefully many of you were able to get out this wonderful weekend and enjoy some seat time!  What is even better is that it looks like the weather is going to stay the same through next weekend… just in time for our next ride!

We are currently planning a ride up through Cougar, WA that will take about 4-5 hours to complete.  A Thank you To Duane Larson for sending the route ideas for this ride.  We are still working through some of the details of the exact route, but will be planning on stopping for lunch at a Cafe.  Please feel free to bring/pack your own if you would like as well.

  • We will be leaving the Church (Happy Valley Campus) at 9:30 am Sharp.
  •     Please plan on being there a little before to get lined up and ready to go.
  • Have your Waiver Signed (http://alcrevelation.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/release_form.doc)
  •     Title (Couger Trip)
  •     I will have some blank copies that morning also.

Please RSVP if you are coming… even if you decide Friday Night, it will help us plan.

TOY RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted in 1 on December 5, 2008 by alcrevelation
Greetings,

The plans have changed for the Shriner’s Toy Run Saturday.  Please read the following:

The original plan was to meet at Latus at 8:30.  Then we realized that the Abundant Life Toy and Coat Drive was the same day.  So we decided to integrate both events into one and serve our community at Shepherd’s Door.  Please bring a coat or toy!  Feel free to meet at the church at 8:30 if you are not interested in coffee.  This schedule also allows some people to ride who cannot make the Shriner’s Run.  See the following schedule:

7:30 AM – Meet for coffee at Peet’s Coffee Shop (160th and Sunnyside Rd)

8:15 AM – Depart to the Happy Valley Campus of Abundant Life Church

8:30 AM – Arrive at Happy Valley Campus to pick up additional toys and coats

9:00 AM – Depart to Shepherd’s Door (132nd and Halsey) to deliver toys and coats

9:30 AM – Arrive at Shepherd’s Door and make delivery (Hang out and visit with women and children)

10:30 AM – Depart for the Shriner’s Toy Run (**Tri-Met 4012 SE 17th, Portland)

12:30 PM – Ride Departs for Shriner’s

Please RSVP with me ASAPInvite your friends!  We need a count on those riding and toys/coats.

In His Great Love,

Scott

And Yet the Great Rides and Weather Continue

Posted in 1 on July 16, 2008 by alcrevelation

We had another excellent ride last Saturday.  The weather was second only to the scenery!  We got to experience just about everything Oregon has to offer except the coast…. hmmm sounds like a great idea for an upcoming ride.  If you have any pics you took from the ride please send them our way to post

We know some of you have asked about some of the details in how we handle rides or goal etc.  We put together the attached document for you to review as well as to share with some potential new riders to the group.  I hope you find it helpful!

Ride Release Form

Sorry for the lag in keeping this update the past 3 weeks… but I am back!

We’ll be riding this Saturday the 12th and the weather should be great!

Plan on meeting at the church at 9:00 and we’ll depart at 9:30…a little earlier this time but due to the route we need to leave a bit earlier to get to our lunch destination at a reasonable time.  We’ll head up Mt. Hood and take a route through the forest and high desert to Wamic and Tygh Valley , then swing back through Maupin to Highway 26.  We’ll stop on the way back in Government Camp at the Mt. Hood Brew Pub for lunch.  I would guess we’ll be back in town around 2:30.

Remember to show up with a full tank of gas and a completed release form (check out the blog link for the form)!!  If you  have any questions let us know, otherwise we’ll see you Saturday morning

A little Warm… But the Ride on May 17th was a blast

Posted in 1 on May 23, 2008 by alcrevelation

It was indeed a little warm, but clear skies made for a beautiful ride.  We had 26 bikes and 40 people.   The scenery at Skemania Lodge was great… the food was oustanding.  Above all of this it was AMAZING to see all of Gods Beauty and to share it with all of you.

Some pretty amazing views, people and the bikes weren’t too shabby either.

Great First Ride!

Posted in 1 on April 13, 2008 by alcrevelation

Check out the page on the Right for updated Rides and Meetings

Thank you all for making today an outstanding first outing.  We had 21 bikes and 25 total riders… and I know a few that wished they could have gone.  Remember to keep May 17th open on your calendar as that is our next ride and we are planning a longer ride than we did today.  It rained Yesteray and it will probably rain tomorrow, but today we all got a little sunburnt doing what we love!

For those of you that have not joined us yet on a ride, our mission and goal are quite simple.  First, it gives us an opportuntity to enjoy what God gave us: Followship with each other as well as his beautiful creation.  Second it give us an opportunity to reach out into our community to hopefully invite anyone who wants to join us.

Keep prayiing for sunshine (and lower gas prices)!
